Raleigh durham NC mamas: experience with midwives

Looking for input on anyone who has had experience with midwives in the RDu area. We are considering the midwives at womens health alliance. They have birthing privileges at durham regional hospital. I would love to hear any experience you have had!

I really liked the UNC midwives. Ended up with an emergency c section, but they were great for the whole pregnancy. And UNC womens hospital in chapel hill can't be beat! I didn't want to leave, it was that nice!

I used the Women's Birth and Wellness Center in chapel Hill for my second and third babies and loved them!

I am currently being seen by the midwives at Triangle Physicians for Women in Cary. Formerly Triangle OB/GYN. They deliver at Western Wake Med Cary. So far I'm so-so with them. It's a revolving panel of midwives just like at any OBs office, and I really don't feel like any of them know me. Don't get me wrong - they are very good, and I prefer to be delivered by a midwife then an OB if I can help it. The nice thing is there are back up OBs in case an emergency situation arises.

I had my first at the birth center and it was awful! But I know so many people who have had good experiences there. I'm having a homebirth this time around
