PSA: HOW TO USE THE iTRADER FEEDBACK SYSTEM

Feedback is a very important part of our community here on Diaper Swappers. Proper feedback practices not only help us as a community, but as individuals as well. The iTrader system is a fairly simple one based on leaving feedback and responding to feedback given. However, if used improperly, it can open the door for multiple postings of feedback for a single transaction, which is against DS rules. In the tutorial below are examples of how to use the iTrader system.

Please note: This tutorial does not cover whether to leave positive/negative/neutral feedback for a transaction. This is only for the technical steps of using iTrader.

Situation 1: You just sold something and you want to leave feedback for the buyer.
This situation assumes that this transaction just took place and the buyer has not had time to leave feedback for you. This situation assumes you are the first person to leave feedback.

Step 1: Open a PM from the buyer and click on their screen name. In the drop down, select 'View Public Profile'

Step 2: Then select 'View Feedbacks'

Step 3: Then select 'Submit Feedback'

Step 4: Whew! That was quite a window-opening mess wasn't it? I'm not sure why iTrader is programmed to behave that way, but whatever... Now you are at the feedback page. Here you select whether you were the Buyer, the Seller, or involved in a Trade. You select either Positive, Neutral, or Negative. Then you add a little note on the line saying something about the mama or transaction or whatever like "Great communication, would B/S/T again" or something to that effect. You'll notice there is a bigger paragraph section below this. Most people don't use this part unless they are leaving negative or neutral feedback and wish to leave an explanation as to why they are doing it. Once this is filled out, hit 'Submit'

Situation 2: You bought something and now you want to leave feedback for the Seller.
This situation assumes that you need to leave feedback for whatever reason.

The first thing you should do is go to your iTrader page to see if the person left you feedback first. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. If you don't check your page, and just go around creating feedback willy-nilly, it defeats the point of the system's intended usage.

Check your iTrader page

If there is open feedback you will see a little yellow notebook paper icon next to the feedback they left you.

Click on that to leave feedback. This closes the feedback 'loop' for that transaction. Each person has received feedback for that transaction.

If there is no open feedback on your iTrader page from the Seller, go back to your PM's and follow Steps 1-4 above.

Situation 3: You need to leave feedback for someone, but they didn't leave it for you first, and you deleted their PM from your Inbox.
This one can be tricky. You basically have to 'find' this person on Diaper Swappers in order to leave them feedback. If you can't remember their screen name, check through your Sent Folder in your PM's to see if you can find the name. Once you have their screen name, go to 'Search' and then type in their screen name. It should pull up all of the threads they have started or posted on.

Once you find them, follow Steps 1-4 above (except for the 'Open a PM' part).

If anyone has questions, or if I missed anything, please let me know. I hope this helps

Bump again for good info! I didn't even know this step I quoted above...I've never done that. :o As a seller I tend to just go and leave feedback after I get a PM or a notice that the buyer has left feedback for me. :o Your info is a cool way to save a couple steps.
