Do you think the movie Shrek is appropriate for a 4 year old?
Would you let your 4 year old watch the movie Shrek? My 4 year old son was at my in-laws for a couple of days and they let him watch it. I don't think it's appropriate at all. Am I odd for thinking that?
We haven't said anything to them yet. I'm not sure exactly how we are going to approach it. For right now, I'm just wondering if I'm odd for being a little upset they let him watch Shrek. Thanks for your thoughts! |
DH let our 2.5 year old watch it but I don't think you're odd! I see how you would not be ok with it.

yeah i have no issues with kids seeing shrek. any of the adult content is really too sophisticated for littles to get. most of those dreamworks movies are made for a broad audience

My 5 year old has watched it. Most of the stuff goes right over their heads.

I wouldn't, but I also don't let my kids watch spongebob either. I don't think adult humor has a place in children's movies.

I don't have a problem, my kids have seen it many times for as long as I can remember...

I don't have a problem with it but I can understand why you would. I would just be sure to approach them kindly and send a few movies you are ok with your kiddo seeing.

Animated does not equal 'appropriate for children'. |
My kids recently watched it. No problem. They are 5.5&4. But if it bothers you, speak up,
