Shorties vs. Soakers - please read before voting
I prefer longies but for summertime Texas weather I need to do soakers or shorties. My ds will only be 5 months this summer, if that makes a difference. I am asking because I want to knit as much as possible before my newbie arrives
So which would you recommend for a little baby boy in the summertime? We use pul covers when out. |

I voted shorties because I think they would be cooler and more comfortable in summer heat. When hot I don't want anything snug on me. I would also wear them out and about but then we are wool 100% because of preference.
I like and prefer drawstringless, elasticless soakers for nighttime. They seem less restrictive for sleeping. In the air conditioning their being snug wouldn't matter as much to me. So actually I would do both. But if I had to choose just one I would choose shorties. |

Shorties are more like clothes to me, where soakers are for under pants, especially on boys, but that's a personal preference.

You will be using pul and wool at the same time? Or wool at home and pul out?

Pul out and wool at home - never together.

I'd actually want both.

when he was a baby over the summer, I did both soakers and shorties, and for that scooting around the floor age I really liked drawstring in the waist. |

Thanks for the input, mamas :)

If it was a girl, I'd say soakers to put under dresses, but since it's a boy I voted shorties.
