What to do when you first get you diapers
 

I am brand new to cloth diapering, when I first get my used diapers should I wash them any special way?

Bump for help. I've never bought used, but I know some people used bleach and or strip. Hope someone else chimes in.

I would strip them in very hot water with dawn and a vinegar rinse. then I would do another hot wash and cold rinse. HTH

If they smell fine, I don't bother stripping them. I just toss them in with my regular diaper laundry. (Yes, I am a diaper sniffer...) If they smell even a little funky I strip them with blue dawn and vinegar and really hot water.

Yup. Plus I always wash with bleach so they get bleached as well.

I wash every diaper load in very hot water(140 degrees) and do an overnight soak with oxyclean, detergent, and borax so just toss into the regular diaper laundry. I did have 2 that took doing this about 3 times to come fully clean so double check when they come out of the wash just to make sure.

Wash. I wash with my dirty then good.

Agreed. I make sure to use a generous helping of bleach if there are new to me diapers in the bunch.

When I bought some used with issues, I soaked in a 5 gallon bucket with dawn and oxy clean. Sun if necessary.
