How often do you change your baby?
I'm just curious what the "norm" is. I'm a little new to this, so is every 2-3 hours what I should be expecting?
Thanks! :goodvibes: |
We changed every time baby was wet or had pooped. Sometimes that was every 3 hours. Sometimes it was three times an hour. Watch for cues of discomfort instead of the clock.

Re: How often do you change your baby?
When baby was a newborn, we changed the diaper before EVERY feeding, and then as needed in between. But like the pp poster said sometimes you might do it 3x an hour. Baby is three months old, and sleeps 4 to 5 hours and we change everytime he wakes up at night.

I should add that we didn't change at night unless they were uncomfortable or had pooped.

Since I don't like being wet I change diapers as soon as I notice they are wet, usually every hour or so unless they are sleeping.

Every 2-3 hours except at night

new born and baby in arms every time wet or messy which seemed to be as much as every 30-45 mintues up to 90min-2hours..
Once mobile I still aimed for as wet but learned to also relay a bit on knowing her patterns and average every 90min -2hours older pre PT age when they naturally hold it longer 2-3 hours Deanna |

My kids are older so I change every 2 hours or more often if someone pooped. Or drank a bunch of water!
