We tell our boys they can ask for one thing for themselves, then make a prayer/wish for those less fortunate, to Santa. Right now my boys are still young, 4 and 6, and as for the "less expensive" items like Legos and Avengers toys. We don't have a game system and won't for a long time. So things like that are a no option in our home.
