I soak and cook my beans, then I portion them into 1.5 cup freezer baggies. One 15oz can of beans is usually about 1.5 cups. I always cook with recipes so this is the easiest way for me to freeze my beans. Or I split one 16oz bag of dry beans into 4 freezer bags so that is about 1.5 cups each still. I just usually thaw on the counter or in the fridge overnight.
I also freeze tomato paste. If a recipe calls for 1Tbsp, I then drop the rest into Tbsp drops on a plate and freeze. Once frozen, I slip them all into a freezer bag.
