BTW, through those 13 years many other married moms would meet me and say "how do you do it" but after knowing me for a while would be a little envious of my freedom. It's not easy on either side of the fence, and if you take your single time to develop your interests and love yourself, you will be a better spouse for it if that happens one day. My DH is away from home a lot for work, and I wouldn't have done well in this role without all that time by myself. I also have wonderful memories (and some not) of being a single mom, but I did it and I'm proud of that.
I always wondered why the term "single" mom. Shouldn't we call the rest "plural" parents?" Hehehee
