I always wore undies, even when I danced in college and adult companies. I did, however, switch to nude colored thongs some time in college. I was very strategic with my costume layering and changes, as well. I am super modest.

Eta: most cheer and Pom teams had a "no panties" rule, but I didn't follow it. I wasn't comfortable without any, so I chose undies that weren't obvious under uniforms/costumes. I wouldn't have been allowed to skip undies anyway.

I don't have a dd, but I would probably put undies under if I did. Can't say for sure though.
