Dh absolutely would but it would have to be a pretty uncommon situation for him to go instead of me. Both kids prefer me when they're sick or injured and there would have to be a serious reason for me to not go with them. Not to mention, dh would just end up calling me dozens of times with questions about birthdays, what happened to cause the injury, allergies, etc.
