Red beans and rice are an excellent combo. Cottage cheese in an avocado. Goat cheese and hummus wraps. I love firm tofu chilled and sliced! Try different types of nuts, too: I can't eat peanuts or peanut butter while pregnant, but I do like macadamias, almonds and cashew butter.
I agree about avoiding processed supplements - and that includes commercial soy "meat" and "dairy" substitutes. Plain soybeans, fresh-pressed soy milk, or tofu are good.
