Let down feeling
My youngest is 3. I havent breastfed since she was 5 months old. My issue is I keep having a feeling of let down. It started when my niece was pregnant this past spring/summer. She had her baby in July. I am still getting this feeling. At least once a day I get that feeling. I am not around any other babies. I am not pregnant myself. Any ideas why I could be having this happen.

Re: Let down feeling
I think it's just your hormones
My son is 3 1/2 and we stopped BFing a few months after he turned 2. But it seemed like another 6-8 months I would still feel that let-down response, maybe it was even longer. But if it's really bothering you, I suggest you see your ob/gyn or your general doc for advice.

Re: Let down feeling
I wouldn't worry about it. I had milk still 5 years after I had a baby and 3 years after we no longer breastfed. I had to squeeze it out and only a few drops but it was there. Our bodies don't just stop because we decide its time.

My son is almost 11 months old and I stopped breastfeeding when he was about 2 months. I still get the same letdown feeling often and sometimes I feel like ive leaked. It especially happens when im thinking about my son and when we are cuddling.

Re: Let down feeling
Wierd, but I doubt it's too uncommon. My aunt had the same thing happen when I got pregnant. She's only 6 years older than me, but she hadn't nursed her babes for a year or so. She didn't just have the let down feeling...she would leak all over herself, lol.

Re: Let down feeling
I had the feeling and leaked for over 2 years after I stopped Bfing my DS. I'd leak for strange babies on the next aisle in a store if they were crying. It's so weird when your body reacts in ways that you and your mind don't want it to.

Re: Let down feeling
I've been having that feeling the past 6 months or so. Pretty sure it's always been around my period
