nipple blister/bleb
I've had this problem for a week now and I checked the internet and the advice is use a hot compress and then have baby nurse. that combo is supposed to make the blister break open. but it isnt working. I tried twice. If that fails I'm supposed to break it open with a sterile needle but I risk infections. anything else I can try?

I have had them twice recently. A lactation consultant told me to massage it with olive oil to soften it. Then fill a bowl eith warm water and bend over so your breast is in it. Then massage toward the nipple. Gravity helps. But she did say if that didn't work to use my finger nails to pick at it or a needle. I ended using a needle the second time.
I hope it pops soon for you. The pain relief is pretty instant and you don't want it to go into mastitis! Cindy

Re: nipple blister/bleb
I got them all the time the first 4 months nursing. I just kept nursing and they went away on their own. I never could pop mine. I would just let baby suck on the nipple. It hurt for a few minutes with latch, but stopped soon after. I do not get them now.
