S/O: Amber teething necklace?

My 21mo and 4mo are both teething. I was wondering what other peoples opinions/experiences were with amber teething necklaces. And I've read that unpolished ones were more potent, any one use unpolished ones before? TIA!

Love them! Unpolished is definitely the way to go! It has better healing properties Our whole family wears them. Great info here

I got one. While it is adorable, it doesn't make a bit of difference.

I notice a difference with my kids! We do the honey colored unpolished. I wear one too!

Make sure you check them, even some of the big sellers, turned out to have fake beads. It is super common in the amber industry, usually the seller has no idea since it is a supplier issue. Using a little nail polish remover wipe it on the beads, if they get sticky they are fake, it is the easiest way to test.

For us they did nothing.

With DS1, I could tell a noticeable difference in his crabbiness level when he wore it. With DS2, I haven't noticed much of a difference, but his teething experience has been way more intense overall. There aren't any scientific studies to prove that amber really does help, but I am a huge fan of the placebo effect. So if it helps mitigate even the perceived discomfort, I say, go for it!

We have a raw amber necklace, and I really like how it looks for boys.

Thanks, Mamas! Ds1 didn't get teeth until he was 9mo but ds2 is teething already and not taking it very well I hope the necklace helps at least some because even the Orajel stuff only helps sometimes...

I get mine from Inspired by Finn. I originally got one for my daughter just because I thought they were pretty, but when her older brother was getting his molars in, he was miserable and I was desperate to try anything other than medicating him all the time. Within an hour of putting one on him, he was a different child. Needless to say, all of mine wear them and my thought is - even if it just helps a little, it's better than nothing, plus they look nice too!

I got one from inspired by Finn and it hasn't really made a difference so far I think. It's the first day though we'll see how she is tmrw. We ordered raw unpolished ones from Lithuania and can't wait to receive it, it's a momma and baby set .

I'm really hoping it makes a difference as DD barely turned 3 months and is just miserable, and I'm just not sure what to do for her because she is so young.

We are a fan of Amber here. Both my kids have used them and I used one for morning sickness and heartburn. We've used both polished and unpolished, lighter colors, and found both worked great.
