A friend is looking at making her own formula from goat's milk and I wondered if there was anything else out there that could be made at home (cow's milk is out) to substitute for formula.

Nourishing Traditions has a recipe for both goat's and cow's milk formula. I think there is a kit she can buy that has all the "extras" that need to go in there ready to sell. I looked at it for baby #4, but it just made me too nervous.

There is a huge thread in the formula feeding forum about homemade formula. There are several recipes out there.
