Fitted vs aio
I am just getting started in the cloth thing. May I ask what works best for people with a 2-3 month old. I coupon and have gotten free disposables to last me to the point but need to start planning for when my stash runs out

Fitteds need covers, all-in-ones do not. When my baby was 2-3 months I liked fitteds or prefolds with covers the best.

Re: Fitted vs aio
You can always just fold the prefold into thirds and lay in the cover. I did that with my LO. it is very easy. When the baby is young most people like prefolds. A fitted is kind of overkill because they are not very heavy wetters at that point and they get changed so often. Pockets are very popular and after trying EVERYTHING I came back to BG 4.0's. They are one size so they will work at 3 months on to potty learning. The great thing about pockets is that you can change what you stuff them with as your babies needs change. I used to just put a prefold in or the microfiber inserts that they came with. Now that my ds is 1 and sleeps 14 hours at night I need more absorbancy. I use a Thirsties Hemp prefold. Hemp and bamboo are more absorbant then cotton or microfiber. I can even add an extra booster if I need to. Hope that helps a little.

Re: Fitted vs aio
So far, with my 3 month old...pockets work best....but I do like prefolds w/ covers and just got a few AIO's (Blueberry Basix) that I really like. Still...different brands fit better than others for us....every child is different!
