Re: Cloth wipes
If it's an absorbent, natural fiber, it would work great. Isn't that a lot of work though? How many wipes do you plan on making?

Re: Cloth wipes
I have all cotton dish cloths that are knitted and crochet'd I think as long as it is a tight stich it would work well, acrylic...not so much! I think it just might move the junk around and not really pick anything up!

Re: Cloth wipes
you could use pinking shears and just cut the flannel the fraying is pretty minninal this way.

There is cotton yarn, but I think you will be better off to try something else. Cut t-shirts into squares, they don't fray. Or use baby washcloths.

Re: Cloth wipes
I cut up old fleece blankets which are synthetic but they work well. And they don't fray or get all balled up in the wash.
