Should I be worried?
DD is nine months old and hasn't gained any weight since early December. We meet with a public health nurse twice a month so she gets weighed often. She is growing in length, is doing well developmentally and seems otherwise healthy. It just doesn't seem like this long of a plateau would be normal. Is this just a case of having too much data, or should I really be worried? She was gaining steadily before this...

My DD was a very active baby and actually lost weight between 6-9 months, and then again between 9-12 months. I was a bit worried, but she also grew 4" in that time. She was (and still is) perfectly healthy. It's normal for most babies to really slow down on gaining around that age, or even plateau. As long as she's happy and hitting milestones and eating well, it's probably nothing to worry about.

Re: Should I be worried?
Did she recently start crawling? Most kiddos have plateau when they crawl and when they walk. I wouldn't worry yet, but keep an eye on it!

As long as she remains healthy I wouldn't worry about it at all. Probably a case of too much data.

Re: Should I be worried?
She is crawling, and pulling up and cruising. She stood on her own (no hands) for a few seconds two days ago. So, yeah, she is super busy. Thanks for the reassurance!

Re: Should I be worried?
My big baby who is also 9 months hasn't gained, and hasn't grown a lot. He's been crawling since six months, walking since 8 months. He doesn't act hungry. And he was born BIG and is working all the chub off his legs. I think there is definitely a tim eto just not worry abou tthe numbers as long as everything else is normal.

Honestly, I think DD gained a total of 5lbs between 9 months and 24 months. They really do slow down a ton when they start moving. She started crawling in her 9th month, so that's prolly why her weight slowed then.
Now inches? Hehe, she's still in the 99th percentile for height and weight, so she's just been elongating. If your child got mobile earlier, I could definitely see the weight slowing down earlier.
