User visitor survey?

I was on the diaper chatter forum when all of a sudden a big red window flashed up and said I had been randomly selected from my area to take a survey and I could win $1000 dollar gift card just click the button to take a survey.

Is this legit? seems really suspicious and I closed the window immediately.

eta: when I closed the window a window popped up and said wait wait! Stay on this page and take a survey about gun control and win a 500 dollar visa gift card! Are you sure you want to leave?


I would like to know for future reference though.

Sounds to me like you have some spy ware on your system.

I have an anti virus and its scanning. We also have a mac. Can they have spyware? It was pretty weird. I know some websites you visit ask if you will take a visitor survey. Anyway So far so good on the anti virus.
