Help me mamas!!
These baskets are made of straw and over time will probably scratch the shelves from pulling them in/out. What can I put on the bottom of them to protect the shelves?? How should I attach it? Help me. I know nothing.

Maybe a sticky backed felt in a tan color? You can also put it on with a hot glue gun if the felt doesn't come sticky.

I did that with baskets on a bookshelf with my sister. She had used the little round felt things you use under chairs, but they kept falling off, so we improvised. ![]()

I'd just get those felt bumper things at the hardware store and stick them on each corner. They are round like the size if a quarter and you'll have extra in the pack to replace when those wear off. They are typically used for chair legs to even them out or prevent scratching. They have felt or a rubber type kind.

Re: Help me mamas!!
Yup that! Get those chair bumpers, they are sticky backed but if that doesn't work, hot glue or rubber cement should.

Re: Help me mamas!!
I did felt and hot glue and it has worked really well! I did hot glue along the edges and stuck the felt on. I didn't think the little bumpers would work because if I only put them on each corner, the middle of the basket would sag from everything that was in there, and still scratch the shelf. If you do that though, maybe just put on in the middle also?
