Nursing Bra

Before I was pregnant I was a 34 D and I imagine now I am a 36 DD (I haven't bought any new bras)and I want to buy one but I don't know how much bigger I will be once the baby is born (due in May).

So, When do I buy one?!

Re: Nursing Bra

I love the bravadas. I wear them from about month 4 all the way through nursing. They come in sm med and large. I'm a 36 DD while pregnant and nursing and I wear a medium.

Re: Nursing Bra

im a 34B normally, now a 34C when preggo, and when my milk comes in i go up to a 36DD initially and then down to a 36D when im less engorged. i would get one that can stretch and has letter sizing as the above poster mentioned, then wait until your milk comes in to buy a few more- you can even send your mom, MIL, sister, or friend out on that errand for you. personally, my mom has been the nursing bra fairy for me both previous kiddos and its nice not to have to think about it postpartum.

Ideally you would wait until 6 weeks PP to get fitted for a good bra, but using one with a stretchy cup would be good for now and those first 6 weeks.

I just wear the sleep nursing bras most of the time. Stretchy and totally comfy. They are really great in the beginning roo when you are changing sizes several times a day.

With dd I got up too a 32 G with an extension, but after about 7-9 months I was down to a 32 D without the extension. My favorite brand is freya great quality, and it has the sizing I need. This time around I bought another 32G just incase, and for right now I have a 34 DDD so I don't need to wear the extension, I got them all on ebay for really good deals. I also have 2 size small sleeping ones from thyme maternity, I like those too, but they don't have the greatest support.

Re: Nursing Bra

I started with the stretchy sleeping nursing bras and nursing tanks. When my milk came in, I just sized and ordered online.

you just never can really know what engorgement is going to do to you.
