yes through the military, but I want to get a secondary policy on her now while she is still little and its cheap because the military doesn't let you keep your policy on the spouse or the kids once you retire unfortunatly

Ours have small term policies through our work ($15,000 each) but as soon as the CC are paid off I'm investing in VULs ($100K each) for them. A few reasons:
1. If either were to pass, I'd need the time off. 2. I want to protect their insurability in case either were injured or diagnosed with a disorder. 3. Lock in rates while they're young. 4. After 5 years with a VUL, loans from the policy are tax-free. Compared to a combination of term life policy and ROTH, it can perform much the same. |
