"Pregnancy Safe" Cookie Dough
My Little One wanted to make cookies, but I ran out of eggs. My mom gave me the following recipe. Needless to say, I don't think I'll get the full amount of finished cookies that the recipe states.
So horrible for you, but soooo yummy. And no fear of salmonella. Just thought I'd share.1 C. Flour 2 t. Baking Soda 2 C. Oatmeal 1 C. Brown Sugar, Packed (could probably use a little less, as the final cookie is SUPER sweet) 3/4 C. Softened Butter 1 C. Choc Chips (optional) Preheat oven to 350 F. Mix together flour, baking soda, oatmeal, and brown sugar. Mix in the softened butter until thoroughly mixed. [I had to use my hands to mix it really good.] Add chocolate chips to taste. Scoop out 1.5" balls onto an ungreased cookie sheet, appx. 2" apart. Bake 10-12 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from cookie sheet. |

Re: "Pregnancy Safe" Cookie Dough
Thanks for sharing, I can't make cookies without eating the dough. I think I know what we'll do this afternoon after naps!!!

Re: "Pregnancy Safe" Cookie Dough
Awesome! (But, I'm not sure I should make cookies.... I'm seriously packing on the weight right now, so trying to stick to salads instead - boo hoo!)

Re: "Pregnancy Safe" Cookie Dough
During my first pregnancy, my hubby would get soooo mad if he found out I ate raw cookie dough. This time around, I just don't let him know. Now.. it doesn't matter.
I agree with PP though... I'm trying to stick to salads... but the occassional batch of cookie dough is sooooo yummy... especially for stress eating. |

Re: "Pregnancy Safe" Cookie Dough
We made them. I almost made myself sick eating the dough.
