Breastmilk sour smelling/tasting after freezing and warming!
I don't recall this with my 1st LO. This happened with my 2nd LO and is now happening with my 3rd. He doesn't care for bottles recently although he used to. I think he may be bothered by the change in taste, I don't blame him! What can I do? Am I SOL on pumping and freezing then?!

you probably have lipase in your milk mama! i dont have a whole lot of time right now, but kellymom.com has info on it. i think you have to scald your milk before freezing. good luck!

Re: Breastmilk sour smelling/tasting after freezing and warming!
Lipase in your milk is so frusterating! I had to throw away a lot of milk but scalding has helped. I have found that my milk only changes after freezing, so I keep everything in the fridge and only freeze if I absolutely will not use it within 8 days. I have also heard of the opposite though, that mamas must freeze their milk immediately or it changes taste.
