Re: Twins?

I knew I we were having twins from the earliest visit.. but that's another story. But I was showing way faster with my youngest daughter and even faster with this pregnancy And DH is soo paranoid about having another set of twins that I generally ask them to check for my first visit with the ultrasound.

I can say that carrying twins I was sick allllll the time, much more so than with singleton pregnancies.

But at this point, there's not much you can do about it, so I'd try hard not to get yourself too worried.

Re: Twins?

I've had NO morning sickness at all. not unusual for me though - with all 6 pregnancies I could count on my 2 hands and feet the number of days I might have felt sick out of all 6 pregnancies totalled together. I'm 7 weeks tomorrow. Oh and we use a midwife so no ultrasound

Re: Twins?

my dr checked me for twins with my ds2 b/c i was measuring larger than i should've been. but no twins, just a large uterus. it was my second baby after all and my ds1 was only 8 months when i became pregnant again. i'd have to say though with ds1 i was hoping for twins, ds2 not so much and this time disappointed to find out it wasn't twins. lol guess i'm a freak for wanting them?
and to one of the pp it's not just hereditary, in fact 65% of pregnancies begin as twins but one gets "lost". and identical twins are NOT hereditary at all, it's fraternal twins that are. identicals just kinda happen, but it can be hereditary to drop more than one egg at a time. not hereditary for your eggs to just randomly split, that's just a miracle of nature.
anyhow i wouldn't worry about it yet...i have shown earlier with each pregnancy. and twins are just such a blessing anyhow.

Re: Twins?

with my 3rd PG I was measuring larger than 9 wks so we went for an U/S and it showed only one bean in there. I just had a large uterus. No reason just did. It had been 8 years since the last baby though!

Now, I am someone who wants twins!!!!

Re: Twins?

I am expecting number 8......5th pregnancy, no twins so far. But I am a freak for wanting them also!! I pray for twins but haven't had the yet. ( I do have a couple blessings that seem like twins though!) It seems with each pregnancy it is different, but one does seem to pop out sooner with each additional pregnancy. Our muscles and uterus have already been stretched out. So far I do not know if I am having twins this time, I hope so. I am 5 1/2 weeks, but I have been spooting since last Friday. Very scary!!! Any & all prayers are welcome!
