What Did I Do??

So, I've been happily cloth diapering for a year, and halfheartedly read ammonia threads thinking 'that will never happen to ME'...haha! I took a diaper off my 1-year-old today and it was AWFUL. Like, the eye-watering kind. And she was red. So, I have taken all my diapers that currently need to be washed and am doing a soak in Funk Rock in the tub. Then I think I'm going to do a wash with a tiny bit of bleach, sanitize cycle, and multiple rinses. Will this solve the problem? I'm not crazy about the stripping with Dawn idea, and don't even have Dawn.

So, what causes it? The only thing I can figure is that we went to my mom's house, and I was too scared to wash in her crazy soft water with major iron and a toploader, so I went for 5 days. Or is it a change in her pee?

It could be the change at your moms or dd pee changing. I dont know if you will ever figure out what really happened...but it can be fixed. I think the bleach and extra hot rinse will do the trick.
