Migraines?

What do you Mama's take for migraines during pregnancy? With my first I took a mild muscle relaxer and Darvocet, with my second I took Stadol, and now I'm I'm pregnant again with a different doctor. I have pretty debilitating tension migraines than can and have floored me. I also see a chiropractor, use a tens unit, and several other methods to keep them down, but when one hits, it hits HARD. Tylenol and other OTC meds don't really cut it for me.

My OB prescribed Fioricet for me and it worked quite well. I was surprised because nothing but triptans ever worked for me.

I used Sumavel in my 1st trimester and it worked really well. I used it 3 times total and never within 1wk so I think it was safe. I can't take anything orally when I get a migraine because I vomit so badly so my dr gave me the injectables and It worked within 5-10 mins!
I took Fioricet or Vicodin with my previous pregnancies and it never really helped long term. Fioricet can cause rebound migraines. My neurologist took me off all combo meds about 4yrs ago and it was a miracle. I used Advil in my 1st trimester with my OBs ok and it worked well also.
Anyway, Sumavel is the same as Imitrex but a different actuator. Imitrex is a generic now and cheaper.

What's a tens unit? Hehe. I get them, too, but strangely when I'm prego, they disappear. But I would occasionally get a headache and I would try to suffer through with piddly Tylenol or ibuprofen. I hate them! Hope you are able to find some relief soon, mama.

I take zebutal which is basically Tylenol with caffeine and it works better than just Tylenol but I usually just take that and use ice packs
