Re: Anybody see this?
that is very interesting I am curious to see what happens with my ds he was BF only until 4 months then both BF and Formula (just a small amount if I was not home) and now is about 75% formula and 25%BF.

Re: Anybody see this?
That's interesting but it doesn't mention how long the babies were breastfed in that study. I wonder??

Re: Anybody see this?
Not many details in that article...it was on my yahoo homepage when I went to check my e-mail and the title caught my eye. I'm all about breastfeeding and I do think that breastmilk is a miracle, but sometimes I wonder about some of the claims. There are so many variables when you talk about human children, I just find it hard to believe sometimes that what they're fed as babies has that big of an impact on the rest of their lives. That said, I'm playing it safe and went to great pains to breastfeed DJ until he weaned himself around 19 months and have even put in my birth plan for this baby that if there are problems with me breastfeeding, I want him given banked human milk (I've lined up a donor) instead of formula if possible. I don't want anyone thinking I'm not committed to breastfeeding...I just sometimes find it a little amusing. Oh well, that probably still came out wrong and offended everyone...sorry!
