anybody else with tons of skin problems during pregnancy?

okay this is my 3rd pregnancy and with the other two i didn't have skin issues. i take better care of my skin now than i did with them so i don't understand it!

here's what i have right now:
the "pregnancy mask"
PUPPS
red itchy palms sometimes with rash
feet same as hands
dry itchy skin in general all over (and yes i use very good lotion all the time!)
stretch marks that are actually causing open wounds on my belly
tag warts

other than that my skin on my face that i've always had blackhead problems with is actually clearing up lol.

any advice or sympathy from a fellow sufferer!!???!?!?!?!

No real advice other than to really stress to your OB how bad it is. My sister had PUPPS and they finally gave her an oral steroid for a week which helped a little.

I've had some issues, but nothing like PUPPS which I hear is absolutely horrid.

I have a rash right below my navel though. It's dreadfully itchy. I also have one right behind my left knee. it just won't quit!
I also have some darkening on my face...mostly around my nose and cheeks. It isn't too noticable, and luckily if I apply my make-up well no one would ever notice.

The only GOOD thing I can say is that my acne has cleared up since being pregnant. I'm sure it will come back after the baby is born, but for right now I LOVE it!

Re: anybody else with tons of skin problems during pregnancy?

I guess I'm still pregnant for ONE more day

And for the last maube 5 weeks I've had UBER itchy skin.. all over... everywhere.. and that, too, is with SUPER good lotions. I have red, itchy feet almost all of the time... talkin' about making life difficult!

I've also noticed a few more skin tags--they gross me out!! I've never had them before, but I guess I'm just gross and take them off myself. Mostly I've found them near and around my underarms.... I'd never really coralated being pregnant with the skin tags though.

And yep--I haven't had a single zit this entire pregnancy. It's been darn nice because I'm also in the "Adult blackhead" camp... it's soooo nice to have clear skin (for a while!).

Good luck--and no, you're not alone!!

i forget where i read about the tags being part of being pregnant...i think it was in a magazine i got at my dr's office. i never knew it had anything to do with it either but the hormones do cause them! i had only had a couple before this and now "hello skin tags!" it's not like anyone else can see them but i can and i know they're there and they're yucky. i don't think i could handle removing them myself though lol.

it's good to know i'm not alone!!! hay amanda let me know if the itchy red feet go away after delivery!!!!

Oh well heck. You got all the stuff that there's not much that can be done about it - I'm sorry! I actually have some acne this pregnancy - but I'm thinking it's just from the extra hormones. I can't get rid of it with ANYTHING! LOL I hate it - but I'm waiting for all of those other things (like PUPPS, etc.) to rear their ugly heads. I managed to get a skin tag on my eyelid the other day, although it seems to have diminished greatly since then.
