AF here one month and not the next?
Hi mamas
could be tmi, just forewarning.I got AF for the first time last month, 7 1/2ish months pp. I am expecting it any time, have been cramping, tired, bloated.. But its still not here? Is it possible for my period to come back and then go away again? Dd is still EBF.

Could you be pregnant? Yes, your cycle can be wonky while nursing.

Yes. In my first 12 cycles pp I missed 3 periods. They coincided with when ds was taking extra feedings due to teething discomfort.

Re: AF here one month and not the next?
I usually get mine every 6 weeks, but when N was BFing, it came every 4 months, starting at 4 months PP. So it is possible for there to be a longer than normal span between AF's.

Re: AF here one month and not the next?
Mine are off a little and I'm still BFing. Based on a "regular" cycle I'm usually late by around a week.

Re: AF here one month and not the next?
My cycle varies greatly...literally anything from 33 days to 55 days. Right now, I'm sitting on CD53. It's highly annoying, but I'm told it's normal. It took one day shy of his 1st birthday for PPAF to show up. My 21.5 mos. old still nurses 4-5+ times a day. Before I had my son, I had 35-37 day cycles, which I thought was annoying because of length. Now, I'd give anything to be back to that cycle!

Re: AF here one month and not the next?
I'm right there with you. I've had one PPAF at 14 months. Now it's been 6 weeks and I haven't had another one. I took a few prego tests, all negative.
It's a bit annoying but I don't mind not having a period.

Re: AF here one month and not the next?
I think it's pretty normal. DS3 is EBF, and 7 months old... my cycles returned when he was 4 months old, but they weren't regular. One cycle was 16 days long, and the next was 40-something. And then I got pregnant
.I would take a pregnancy test just to be sure, and it's negative, chalk it up to EBF .
