Re: What do you do with disposable diapers from baby showers??

We kept some in case, which we didn't end up using. We sold those on Craigslist. We got a ton to start with, so other than the few we kept we returned them and used the $ to buy cloth or other things the babe needed.

We returned the ones we got. Never bought any disposables. We do use the open packages the hospital sent us home with, but otherwise I don't see a reason to keep them around.

We used the packages from the hospital and returned the the rest to Wal-mart with the exception of a generic box no one carried. I tried to at least use it up since it seemed a waste but it wouldn't hold even the smallest poop. I stopped using them.

Can you return packs of disposables to Walmart (if they carry them) even if they were not purchased there??

Yes, you don't need a receipt. They will just give you store credit.

I freecyled the package from the hospital. I registered for cloth diapers so luckily I got a bunch of newborn cloth diapers. You can return them, swap them on swap mamas, or donate to catholic charities.

Our pediatrician takes in donations for local shelters for diapers that have been outgrown or not needed. I also use for out of town trips.
