Just a question... If I sell something do I pay shipping or does the buyer? How does that work?

Not sure if this is a good place to ask this question but here it goes: What is the cheapest method to ship things to people? I went to the post office, bought two of their padded mailers ($3.78), shipped two different packages that were about a pound and a half each using Priority Mail ($17.66) and DC ($1.70). This was WAY more than I expected, but a helpful experience so that I know better. So, what does everyone else do to cut down on the expense? Please let me know!

USPS doesn't offer DC for First Class International. It means that a package should go Priority which is 3 times more expensive even to Canada.

I reuse polymailers and ship using either usps.com or paypal. Delivery confirmation is free through both sites. Also anything under 13oz can ship via first class mail. Anything over that must be sent priority.

I do not think DC is free on USPS. It is also more expensive than paypal. I'd say paypal is your best bet.
And if a package is heavier than 13oz it can also be shipped Parcel Post. It doesn't have to be shipped Priorty.
I prefer to ship in Regional boxes. It seems to be the cheapest for packages within 5zone from you. The only drawback is that you have to order them on-line. It is free, just takes time.

Hoping to get an answer about international shipping.
Is it required for the transactions on DS or up to to sellers to decide about Delivery Confirmation for International shipping.

In regards to selling diapers, do people ever invoice for the amount or is it always the buyers job to do all the work for that?

I know dc is free on USPS for priority shipping. I just used it to ship out some things a few days ago. I did not pay extra for DC. If I had shipped parcel post it was going to charge me. This made priority shipping cheaper for us in this situation. Without DC parcel post was going to be cheaper.
