Has anyone flown with someone else's child?
I feel nearly ready for our long flight(s). I am taking a 12 year old girl with me to help with my oldest incase Ben goes into flow blown meltdown mode. I told her mom to bring her birth certificate and another id if possible, but do I need anything else? I looked through the rules and didn't find anything. It seems weird that it is so easy for me to fly with a child that's not my own.
Besides this I think I only need to figure out what snacks to pack and we are set

Re: Has anyone flown with someone else's child?
I would get some type of letter (probably with notary seal) authorizing you to take her and for any emergency medical or other care.

I would call the airline and ask as well...and because I'm paranoid, if I got a rep that said nothing beyond ID was required, I'd call back and try to get another rep, or I'd ask to speak to a supervisor. I would NOT want to risk getting stuck in security with somebody else's child trying to get them home.
