Any great places for kids in Southwest france?

I am looking for ideas we live near the border. Places to take small kids.

We are more into hand on stuff, zoos ect. Though open to nature we are not big hikers or anything. Looking more for things like what would would find in the us KIDS MUSEUM, zoo, hands on type places.

Are you still looking for kids museum in Southwest France? Difficult to find sth in Southwest France, I think. I only know a kids museum near Marseille, in Gréoux les Bains. It's a miniature and dolls museum. There are 130 installations on various topics: clowns, Russian dolls etc. We went there in 2007. I hope it still exists...

In this case I can recommend the museum of sorceress, which is located in the centre of France. The village is called Concressault, about 300 kilometres from the German boarder. The museum used to be a farm and is situated in the countryside of the department Cher. There are various rooms: one is a fantasy-themed room, others tell the story of sorcery throughout history and so on.. We went there last year, our son (5 years old) liked it. In Germany I don't know any kids museum..
