I want a sweet but quick and easy dessert for tonight-ideas
I have ice cream (always quick and easy but not first choice)
boxes of jello a container of cinnamon flavored cool whip a can of pumpkin a can of pineapple pears I have apples and carmel and planned to make carmel apples with them, but I really need to not be standing at the stove this evening so I think that's going to have to wait. I also have basic baking supplies, but no eggs. I am thinking of doing something with the pumpkin and cinnamon cool whip, but not sure where to take that. ETA: I also have a standard sized brick of cream cheese

You could make the jello and put the fruit on the bottom

Re: I want a sweet but quick and easy dessert for tonight-ideas
Hmm... my MIL used to make some kind of dessert with pears... I have no idea how, though. It was fairly tasty but I prefer the pears plain
I think she must have just baked them with sugar. My sister used to just cut up fruit and mix it with cool whip. You could probably do that with the pineapple and pears. My husband's done pineapple baked with cinnamon and sugar before. It was with fresh pineapple though. I did just come across a pumpkin smoothie recipe, but have no idea how it would taste. I'm curious what you end up making! |

After reading pp, do you have oatmeal? You can make a pear and pineapple crumble. Just use an apple crumble recipe and substitute. All the rest of the ingeidients are flour, sugar, brown sugar. Basic baking stuff..butter too
