We iive just east of Cedar Rapids/Marion. We live in Lisbon.

I grew up in SW Iowa near Atlantic in a very, very small town. Most of my family still lives near Atlantic.

We lived north of Omaha for years before moving to Iowa. We travel there often because all of DHs family lives in and around Omaha.

I'm hoping to move to Iowa (Somewhere between Dubuque and Davenport) in the next year. I've never lived outside of Texas but my husband has family in IA that we'd like to be closer to.

Any suggestions for midwives in that area? Or practices to avoid?

Most important things you'd tell someone just moving to the area?

And, can you give me any wisdom on house hunting and things to look for or consider. Houses are VERY different in that area.

I went to school in Atlantic as well, small world huh. I'm guessing you lived in Wiota or Marne??
