Just wondering if anyone has had a similar issue. I've been getting 17p injections for 12 weeks, dh gives them to me at home. All was going well until 3 injections ago when I developed redness, itching, and a hard lump at the site. Two weeks later and it still looks bruised and itches occasionally. Last week, opposite "cheek", mild itching and redness. Today used same side as last week due to reaction from 2 weeks ago not completely resolved, 3 minutes after injection, site started to burn and hasn't stopped. Also now red. DH's technique is good. I'm a nurse and pick injection site and prepare. This all started with a new vial, may e coincidence. Anyone?

I took them and never had that type of trouble. Mainly just reddness and stinging for a couple-few hours. However I did go to 38+1 with taking them!! My others had been 34 and 35.

its probably that batch. had them through 2 pregnancies(made it to 36 and 40+2) and occasionally had one bruise for 2-3 weeks or itch a lot. never had a lump but was told to use heat/massage if i did. with my first run it was still in trials and each batch wasnt made with the same suspension oil but im pretty sure now that its mass produced and not compounded thats not an issue

Talked to my maternal fetal med doc yesterday, she thinks I've developed an allergy to them. Gonna try to pre-medicate with Benadryl before this weeks injection. She's worried that like most allergic reactions it will get progressively worse and perhaps even become a systemic reaction.

I also had a delayed reaction to the shots.
