We got them for super cheap on Amazon but I haven't gone digging for them lately because my son is wearing his big sister's.

Anyway, they

1. Are wool, so toasty but breathable
2. Coated with thin but sturdy rubber on the bottom, giving huge traction
3. Outfitted with a big patch of hook and loop, making them adjustable and hard to get off.
4. Were my daughter's first "street shoes."

If you can find them I highly recommend them.
I think my DS has a pair of these. A friend got them at a consignment shop and I can't read the label, but it is in German. They are dark blue bears and I LOVE them. They were the only shoes he wore when I bothered to put shoes on him but he has outgrown them. Great indoor/outdoor!

I am a Robeez fan. There are knock offs at Target and Walmart.

another vote for robeez (or robeez knock offs) We use them over wool socks to keep tiny feet warm I prefer the robeez ones honestly, my MIL bought us some carter ones and they dont stay on. I think I remember one of my boys having the LL bean ones when they were little too. not sure what size they go to but the Zutano ones stay on really well too.
