A couple Q's on becoming a WAHM including do I need to get a business EIN#?
I'm thinking about opening a store on Etsy for a variety of things. I'd like to make cloth napkins, place mats, un-paper towels, wipes, fitted diapers, upcycled wool covers/longies/shorties, fleece covers/shorties/longies, changing pads, wetbags, maybe some PUL diaper covers, mama cloth, breast pads, pocket diapers, maybe some aio's, hankies, baby blankets, some baby/kids clothing here and there...Just a variety of different things. If I do open one, I'd plan on making things as time and resources allow. I'd like to make a little extra money just for a hobby to keep me busy during the colder months but I'm not looking to make a ton.
My questions are: Does it really pay? How do you figure out fair pricing? Is etsy a good place to sell? If not Etsy where? Do you have to get an EIN # for a WAHM business? Thanks!!

Truthfully, I think the market is extremely over saturated. That being said, if you have a unique design or pattern for an item and quality work it will make a difference. I'd find one or two things you really enjoy making and stick to that, then branch out as you have a steady flow of customers. From what I've read most WAHMs say they don't profit for a year if not more.

Thanks.
I'll have to play around and see what I can do with things and what I like making most.

Here is some info on getting an EIN#. It's very easy to do and a good place to start in keeping your home financials seperate from your WAHM financials.
