Gift ideas for OB/GYN and Midwives

Is anyone planning on giving thank you gifts to their doctors or midwives? I haven't decided if I will give one to my doctor, but I do want to give the midwives at the birth center something nice since they took me on very last minute.

Anyone have an appropriate gift suggestion? Something homemade or store bought? Gift cards? I'm at a loss..TIA!

After both of my previous deliveries I took baked treats in to the doctors office and to the L&D staff. They seemed to appreciate a little homemade love

I baked cookies for all of the nurses in l&d and post-partum (plus my dr snagged some lol) plus we send an edible arrangement for my dr, MFM, and personal l&d nurse a few weeks after I delivered.

I'm doing a small gift basket. Since it's around the holidays, I'm sure they're going to be getting a ton of stuff from other patients too.

I was thinking about giving her some of my handspun yarn or knitting her a baby scale sling.
Baked goods and fruit baskets are always awesome for nurses and midwives

I'm not getting them anything, but when parents do bring things in, they normally bring in food. Dh said the nurses typically commandeer it all, and really appreciate the snacks.

I'm knitting a scarf for our doula and thought about sending muffins or a fruit basket to the L&D staff at the hospital. Funds are tight though so they may end up with just a handwritten thank you. That's what I ended up doing the last time.

I'm always worried about giving homemade food due to allergy/diet restrictions. A knitted scarf is a good idea! Plus, I have tons of yarn laying around the house.
