How many pairs of boots do you own?

I have two pair that are ankle boots, both are "pleather" LOL.. One is shiny black, size-zip, chunky heel; the other pair is chocolate brown microsuede with a skinny heel. They are okay for a bit of walking, with the black pair being more comfy. Then I have two pair of knee boots, both leather. One is black with a tall heel, not great for too much walking; the other is dark brownish-purple, relatively casual Keen. LOVE these and they are GREAT for walking. But I totally want another pair...mid-calf or taller...with slouch. I just don't know how trendy they are, would I still want to wear them in five years?
