But doesn't the prefold have many more layers of fabric than the other inserts you are comparing it to? I would imagine that it would be less wet feeling etc. because there was just more fabric for the water to absorb into.

Do you have an all cotton prefold and a hemp prefold that you could compare to the bamboo prefold?

I'd be curious to know how the bamboo prefold compare to bamboo flats, I much prefer flats for their trimness.
