how long do you let poop sit?

I rarely ever get poop in a diaper. I usually notice that DS is pooping in time to hold him over the potty. I got tired really quick of scraping poopy dipes.

It depends how busy I am
I try to plop out anything that will go right away but there are times ds poops at mealtimes or when we are leaving etc and I just don't have time. I try to do it asap but there are days they have sat overnight and I spray them off before I wash(I wash every other night). I don't like letting them sit but we have a busy house and sometimes it gets away from me. Ideally I spray as soon as I change but realistically it doesn't always happen

If its solid I plop in the toilet when we're changing diapers. If its hmmm gooey, I wait. We don't have a sprayer anymore and I hate swishing but if it sits a day normally the poo will harden and I can plop later in the toilet when I'm getting ready to wash. I didn't realize so few people leave poo in their pails

We spray & clean off with each change. Much easier than stuff getting caked in. Sprayer is a godsend and we'll rinse and squeeze out the water until we wash all the diapers. At least with newborns it's much easier as the volume of the poop itself isn't much.
