Fifths disease

My dd came downstairs this morning looking like she got hit by a truck poor thing. She has a rather non productive cough, a fever (102-103ish) and sniffles. She started out with a crescent shaped rash on her right cheek like this:

by this evening her left side of her face looked like this:

It's kind of rough feeling. Fifths disease comes to mind although I have no experience with it. What do you all think? And if it IS fifths, how long does this usually last? Obviously I'll take her in to the doctor, but just want ideas. Thanks!
