Re: If I had known...

If I could only buy one NB diaper it would definitely be the Simplex. But I liked having some Blueberry Minis (same company as Swaddlebees) and some Happy Heiny Minis too. The Simplex were bulletproof.

Re: If I had known...

Kissed by the Moon has the NB Simplex in their diaper rental program. If I had known about it before I bought my prefolds and covers for dd2 I would have opted for that. It probably would have cost me less than the covers and prefolds (after you get the deposit back, and they keep the rental fee).

I have that page bookmarked for the same reason.

She also has great deals on the preloved newborn simplex too.

I was going through my pictures for the post and realized I forgot all about the grovia aio newborn and the xs bamboo sandys! These both fit under the cord at birth as well, but did not work for us for other reasons, so I must have just dismissed them and forgot!!!

I'm absolutely going to get some of these Simplex NB's. My dilemma is whether to do the rental program and get a bunch for only a month or two, or buy my own and hope we get to use them for several months. My babies are usually huge at birth (9-10 lbs).

Re: If I had known...

The Simplex are my least favorite AIO. I don't like the birdseye inner, it's all bunchy and hard to put together. It leaks. It's HUGE compared to my other newborn AIO's. I'm glad I only bought 2. For my little guy, who was under 6 lbs at his lowest, fitteds and covers work the best.

But I'm with you, I hate prefolds. I was convinced I'd love them with #3, and then I realized I hate them, lol. I have trifolded them on occasion for #4, but they are not absorbent enough, and leak. I really love fitteds, though.

Re: If I had known...

If I have another baby, he/she will be in NB Simplex from day 1. Best NB out there.
