A well meaning relative did something similar for DD. except that my complaint had been that I loved a certain pair of shoes and was upset that they didn't come in DD's size (except on eBay).

The relative was trying to be helpful and bought them in a too-small size.

I called the shipper and they provided free return shipping and let me replace the item with something I wanted without the relative knowing (woot diapers.com!)

Anyways, if it came from the shipper - call them. You might be surprised. If she sent it directly, then I'd return yours and get something new from her like previously suggested.
