Des Moines, Ia area?
Hi mamas!
My husband is going to be starting a job at Camp Dodge. Could you recommend good/affordable areas and schools with great special needs services? I have a 6 year Autistic son, a 4 year old son, and am 4 months pregnant. My 6 year old son requires a one on one aide, and we have an IEP so I'm hoping that will help with transitioning. We also do private OT and ST, so if you know of any good places I would love the suggestions. I've been researching for Special needs groups, resources, etc but not finding much online yet. Thank you so much for the help! |

Re: Des Moines, Ia area?
You've probably already moved by now, but I'm originally from Johnston, IA - less than a mile from Camp Dodge. I graduated from Johnston high school and have a younger brother with special needs. I know the special needs program there was great when I attended (granted I graduated 12 years ago!).
