Best Bottom Trainers?

Are these absorbent? Waterproof? We are pretty early in the pling process, but my dd will pee in the potty if not wearing anything on the bottom. We can do that often enough at home, but I want something for the rest of the time and for going out that will seem like undies to dd, that are easy up and down, and that are absorbent and waterproof enough to hold an accident without getting her clothes wet. Do these fit the bill? Other suggestions? How do Gerber and similar training pants work (I'm thinking for around the house and for when she gets more consistent with using the potty). TIA!
