Pretty sure DS started yogurt at 7-8 months and loved it! He doesn't drink cow's milk so we do lots of natural yogurt instead.

6 months or so as soon dr said soft first foods were ok. I asked about cows milk based dairy bc I had heard to avoid it for first 12 months to avoid allergies, etc. Ped asked if we were giving LO milk based formula. When I said yes, he said if LO were fine with that she would be fine with actual dairy products. He said a lot of the studies recommending dairy avoidance were funded by formula companies that want to keep parents buying formula over milk.

7-8 months. We avoided wheat until a year, and our very first solids were one ingredient things, like avocado, sweet potato, banana or apple. So yogurt was like the next phase. I stuck with YoBaby until a year old though.

Re: At what age

When I hovered over this I read it as "When do you give your baby deodorant?" I was like WHAT!?!?! As for the real question, I don't remember when with any of mine. Youngest has only had avocada, banana, and applesauce, he's 6.5 months. Not really interested in eatting after his first few tries, so I'm not offering him much.

Re: At what age

It was one of his first foods, around 7 months. The probiotics in it make it easier to digest so they can have it before milk. I started him on plain greek yogurt and it's still one of his favorite foods. I don't know how he can stand the sour taste but he loves it.

Usually a year or so. I do BLW so I don't give foods like yogurt until they can use a spoon.
